Roger Bartels founded the firm in 1974. After procuring a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lafayette University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia, he nurtured his craft with such architectural masters as Andrea Palladio, CFA Voysey, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and Standford White.

Subscribing to his own ideas of space and movement, Roger’s design talents are rooted in an authentically New England tradition, namely the iconic American Shingle style. Drawing inspiration from his extensive travels, Roger has cultivated his expertise with a distinguished identity of design, elegance, and contextual aesthetic.
